Alexis and Brendan technically met unofficially way back in 2008 at Greenville High School—one of those “same hallways, same time, different worlds” situations. Life, college, and growing up had other plans, so their paths quietly diverged… for about a decade. Fast forward to 2018, where fate—clearly having a sense of humor—reintroduced them at a call center of all places. Both were there while plotting their next chapters: Alexis preparing to pursue a graduate degree, and Brendan getting ready to launch his career in healthcare. Somewhere between headsets and hold music, their real story began. It all started with a simple (and surprisingly life-changing) question when Alexis asked Brendan if he wanted her to grab him lunch during her break. One shared meal turned into exchanged numbers, and during their very first text exchange, Alexis jokingly introduced herself as “Jessica from the gym,” playfully testing Brendan to see if he was paying attention. Brendan, being suave and not easily fooled, quickly sensed the wool trying to be pulled over his eyes—and passed the test with ease. Their easy banter soon led to a first date at Wild Wings, where Alexis arrived fashionably late, immediately keeping Brendan on his toes. From there, their love story evolved into one marked by laughter, patience, and a deep, intertwining connection. Through distance, demanding schedules, education, and career changes, their bond only grew stronger—proving that no amount of life happening could create a void between them. And so, built on years of steadfast love and shared growth, Alexis and Brendan are thrilled to be tying the knot this September, ready to begin their next chapter—together.
