We're Getting Married

In 2019, our story began at St. Mary Mercy Hospital in Livonia during a time neither of us will ever forget. We first met at the hospital in a way that’s definitely not your typical love story ... in the morgue, of all places. After noticing Laura’s last name, Brendan eventually worked up the courage to slide into her DMs a few weeks later, and the rest is history. Our first date was at one of Brendan’s brother’s hockey games, and from that point on, we were inseparable. Over the years, we’ve built a life filled with hockey games, movie nights, vacations together, and making memories wherever we go. We especially love our summer trips to Saugatuck and frequently visiting Disney World. Along the way, we’ve celebrated some incredible milestones together. Brendan graduated from EMT and paramedic school before being hired by the Canton Township Fire Department, while Laura earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from University of Michigan–Flint. In 2025, we bought our first home together — a huge step and one of our favorite accomplishments as a couple. Because Saugatuck has always been one of our favorite places, it only felt right that Brendan proposed during one of our trips there in late October of 2025 at Oval Beach. In 2026, we added another important member to our little family when we brought home Riggs, our Corman Shepherd puppy. These days, some of our favorite moments are the simple ones — taking Riggs on evening walks, throwing the tennis ball around in the backyard, and enjoying this season of life together. From a chance meeting at the hospital to building a life side by side, we’re so excited for the next chapter and grateful to celebrate it with all of you.
