Brendan and I met at the University of Georgia my junior year. We had a few mutual friends, so I had seen his picture on Facebook a few times. I remember instantly thinking that he was super cute. I was in need of a date to a Braves' game, so I asked our mutual friend to set us up! Fast forward through a few handshakes, some awesome trips, and two fur babies, the rest is history!
We love to explore different cities and usually go on a trip to celebrate each of our birthdays! It was a beautiful day in Charlotte and we had plans to spend it at the park. We were taking our time walking there, stopping by lots of local stores. I noticed Brendan was acting a little antsy, pestering me to finish up so we could get to the park. As most people know, Brendan is never in a hurry to do ANYTHING. While we continued on our stroll, I had a few inclinations that he may have a ring in his hand. He kept doing expert cover-ups, saying he had trash in his pockets, he was holding his harmonica, etc. While I was hopeful, I wasn't so sure he was going to propose before he left the following month to hike the Appalachian Trail. After about an hour of meandering around the park and my hopes for a proposal dwindling every minute, Brendan followed me on a bridge and popped the question!
