CORONAVIRUS UPDATE

As we navigate a world where life is changing from one day to the next, we want to keep you informed about our wedding plans. We sincerely hoped to celebrate with all of our guests as planned on September 26 however, due to unforeseen circumstances, we have had to significantly decrease our guest list and limit to family members only. Since government restrictions are changing week to week, we will finalize the guest list by September 1st. Please email petrynawedding@gmail.com with any questions or concerns

HOW WE MET

02.18.12

Our story began in February of 2012. During the winter reading week, Stephen and I had made separate arrangements to visit Sudbury, his hometown. He was going home, and I was visiting his younger sister and a close friend of mine. It was his mother who suggested that I should carpool with this mystery brother, Stephen, I had never met due to post secondary school schedules. Five hours, it takes 5 hours to drive to Sudbury and it took us five hours to fall in love. - and as they say, the rest is history.

THE PROPOSAL

06.05.19

After a delicious steak dinner, Stephen asked if we should go for a walk on the boardwalk along the Detroit River, in the rain. We walked with Canada to one side of us and the United States to the other. During our walk we stopped in a beautiful landscaped area with a retired train on display. As we watched the sun go down Stephen got on one knee and asked the BIG QUESTION. As Stephen was getting on one knee a police car drove by. They stopped their car, rolled down their window and yelled out “What did she say?” Brenda screamed “I said YES!” and the police officers put on their car lights and sirens. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you at the farm!
