Its our time!

Some people are happy being alone and then there are others who have either experienced too much heart ache,pain and deceit to bother with looking for love or there are those who say if she or he is out there, God will send them to me.This was not the case for either of us.I do believe being in the right place at the right time is how we met online.Now as we know, everything isn't for everybody and the world we live in today is not how couples met 30 years ago.We have advanced to online dating.I must admit that with millions of people who are actively looking for that very special someone to share life,love and happiness with, it can be like finding a needle in the heystack.Needless to say we are very fortunate to have found each other.It's been two years since we met, during which time I was not half the man I am today.Unfocused on the most important thing in life, Our Heavenly Father who I choose to call Jehovah, I drifted apart from Brenda and back into the "Lions Den" aka the World of Unhappiness.Little did I know Brenda never stopped loving me and continued her relationship with my family during my brief absence.She has shown me a resilence like I never knew before and how you never stop praying,believing and fighting for what you believe in even when it looks like life has knocked you down.Brenda has always been a fighter and is presently battling again one of the greatest battles in life.To look at her and to be around her no one would ever know her struggle.She is the epitome of STRONG and whenever lifes challenges occur, I secretly look to her admiringly and her resolve to fight. I get up and fight back even harder.I put God first to direct my footsteps.I am blessed to have found a woman that has taught me how to fight and because of her, I know we will never lose as long as we fight together. We will strive to keep this scripture an active part of everything we do.LOVE is patient and Kind.LOVE endures all things. 1 Corinthians 13: 4-7

Remy is one of, NO MAKE THAT “THE “ MOST coolest, sweetest, romantic, loving, caring, sensitive, creative, artistic, funniest, fashionable men that I’ve ever known! He put so much time, effort and thought into HIS PROPOSAL! See, what had happened was..... We rushed home on a typical Friday evening, excited about getting our weekend started with a”date night”. This Friday’s date night was scheduled to be a short stop over to Maryland to see his relatives and then off to dinner and a movie. We get all buckled up, traveling from Lorton, Va headed to Clinton, Md. One of my most favorite visual spots in the DMV (DC, MD,VA) is the view from the bridge where you can feast your eyes on the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, the Jefferson Memorial AND with a quick turn of the head to the right side coming from VA, the National Harbor Ferris Wheel! Day or Night =BEAUTIFUL SIGHT! SOOOOOO.... as we drive across the bridge, Remy pulls over to the shoulder area of the bridge , abruptly stops the SUV , jumps out of the vehicle, runs around the rear, comes over to me on the passenger side and says... “get out of the car!” OMG, I’m thinking there must be something bad happening with the automobile! Flat tire? Bad brakes? So i jump out, freaking out because of the fast moving cars that are zooming past us! THEN he starts making a very passionate speech about how both our lives have merged like the Woodrow Wilson Bridge which unites Virginia and Maryland. How he is using this as a symbol to show how he’s crossing new bridges in life to become the man he wants to be and the man that i so deserve. HE THEN DROPS to one knee and pops out this little box which contains a gorgeous ring- a beautiful black diamond, he ASKS ME TO MARRY HIM, he slips the ring on my finger, we embrace RIGHT THERE under the green bridge sign with that beautiful Ferris Wheel over my shoulder and the view of the beautiful Potomac River! I’ll cherish that moment forever❤️💍🙌
