Where there is love, there is Life

We met while working at Gayle's Bakery in Capitola, and were friends for several years before taking our friendship to the next level. Brenda honestly didn't like Mike at first because he had taken her spot on the bakery production team and she was envious. While we both dated other people for some time, we continued to be friends and then neighbors. Mike won Brenda over with his easy disposition, limitless knowledge of weird fun facts and small acts of kindness, like offering to take care of her dog when she would go out of town or had a long meeting. However, Brenda wouldn't be able to recognize her own feelings until her mom, Marilu, came to visit. During Marilu's visit Mike was invited over for happy hour, and afterwards Marilu said, "Did you see the way he looked at you? Did you see his distinguished eyebrows and nose? I think you should give him a shot." A week, an over-baked mushroom turnover, and misread text exchange later would lead to our first date and to the rest of our lives..... Together we have traveled, moved 4 times, gone through several jobs and career moves, and the extremely painful loss of Brenda's beloved mother. We have both grown up in our relationship and have been blessed to find patience, determination, fierce loyalty, evolving communication, and an immense amount of love. We both feel beyond fortunate to have found each other and even MORE excited to join our lives together. The last two years have brought us all challenges, on a global scale, and we feel it's time celebrate love, specifically, OUR love. We are ecstatic we will be able to share in our joy and excitement with our friends and family. WE CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU ALL ON APRIL 16TH!!!!!
