If you are looking at staying a few days extra, we recommend driving down to the coast of Placencia and staying a few nights as well as one of the Cayes. If staying in one of the Cayes, we advise you to come back inland the night before your flight. The weather is unpredictable by the Cayes so you will want to make sure you don't have an issue getting back on time for your flight.
We recommend The Black Orchid Resort. They are 20 minutes from the airport.
