Our Story

Brenda and Angel first met the way many modern love stories do — at work. Angel noticed Brenda immediately in December 2023 when she came in for an interview, but for months their relationship stayed strictly professional… until one late night in July 2024. Brenda stopped by Angel’s desk to vent about work, and somewhere in that conversation, everything shifted. They discovered shared roots, values, and ambition — both Guatemalan, family-oriented, entrepreneurial, and deeply driven. The spark was unexpected, but undeniable. Brenda left that night nervous in the best way and called her mom: “This is the man I’m going to marry,” sending his LinkedIn photo as proof. There was just one problem — dating wasn’t allowed in the office. So naturally… they tried not to. A mutual crush surfaced (thanks to a friend who couldn’t keep a secret), texts picked up, and three weeks later Angel invited her out as casually as possible. Unsure of the vibe, Brenda brought a friend. But the moment Angel greeted her with the biggest smile, she knew. Drinks turned into dancing, and soon after came their first real date. From there, it was undeniable. Mini golf, a lounge in the city, a baseball game, and a walk along the Embarcadero — where Angel held her hand and said, “I reeaallllyyy like this.” That night, he shared that the relationship he wanted had to feel undeniable… and this already did. Two weeks later, they made it official. Early on, both brought wounds from past relationships — fears, triggers, and the experience of betrayal. Instead of avoiding it, they chose to face it together through honesty, communication, and growth. They built their relationship on three pillars: we always choose each other, we are best friends, and we are lovers. Together, they are playful, steady, and deeply loving. Their relationship isn’t defined by extremes, but by consistency, laughter, and choosing each other — especially in the hard moments. After a year of secretly dating, they both left the company to move forward openly, choosing alignment, integrity, and their future together. Angel proposed at Rockaway Beach — a place woven into their story. It’s where they shared quiet mornings, deep conversations, and dances under the moonlight. It was just the two of them — no photos, no audience — and yes, the ring box was upside down. For Brenda, marriage is a union of families, values, and vision — a lifelong commitment to grow and come home to your most authentic self. For Angel, it’s a daily choice — to build a life together, push one another to be better, and chase shared dreams side by side. They both knew early on they were meant for each other. Now, they get to make it official — continuing the life they’ve already begun building together.
