We're getting married!

Bren met Mike through simple serendipity at work. When Mike visited Bren's work for the first time, she struck up conversation under the guise of offering tech support with the printer (of which she knew nothing of). They met on July 5th, 2017 and had their first date the very next day. They bonded over their shared nerdy interests, such as Game of Thrones, Star Wars, and especially their love of Legend of Zelda. They may be introverts, but when around each other, they can't seem to ever stop yapping.

On May 23, 2023, Mike took Bren out for fancy cocktails (which he spilled on himself) followed by dinner at their favorite restaurant, Barolo East. She was suspicious about the outing considering Mike bought her a dress and heels (in the wrong shoe size, so she was in a cocktail dress and black converse). Mike, knowing that Bren is comprised primarily of anxiety and hunger, proposed immediately upon being seated at Barolo so that they could enjoy the rest of their evening and multiple plates of pasta celebrating their engagement and laughing about Mike's spilled drinks. The night couldn't have been more perfect :)
