It’s on the Padlock Ranch, which is a very special place for the bride and her family. It’s outside of the couple’s hometown by about 25 minutes. The specific location of the ceremony and reception will be happening between the small towns of Ranchester and Dayton, Wyoming. The address on the invite will give you the exact location of it on any map app.
If you’re a beer or wine person, yes! The future husband and wife will cover the assortments of wine and beer (local Blacktooth favorites) will be offered to you free of charge. Liquor and cocktails will be available for you to purchase as well. Last call will happen at 10:30, a half hour before the last shuttle returns to the Fairfield Inn. For the nonalcoholic beverages, we have soda available at the bar along with a lemonade/iced tea/water station.
There will be a supervised area for children with barriers and a few activities to keep them entertained during the reception! It will be close to the dance floor. While we do plan on hiring someone to be a specific child “wrangler,” you are ultimately still responsible for the care of your children with your watchful eyes and attention.
Yes! It’s immediately upon turning into the venue. Again, keep in mind that you are responsible for your own safety if you choose to transport yourselves as there are NO Ubers available ‘round these parts. You can park overnight if you’d like to drive your car there (you can shuttle back to the hotel!).
The wedding will be right next to a beautiful river and some gorgeous trees and adjacent to a spectacular view of the beautiful Big Horn mountains. The reception will be in a tent outside with heat lamps at our disposal as the night goes on. The temperatures have the potential to vary drastically, so we recommend you dress accordingly/bring a jacket!
It means we are ok with any clothing options from semi-formal and upwards to cocktail! Since it’s on a ranch and it’s outside during the fall, we are just fine with jeans and nice shirts as well as comfier “nice” clothes. Feel free to dress in your finest cocktail dressware, too! It’s your call. We fully expect to see some cowboy boots as this is a Wyoming wedding, even if just on the bride!!
Cocktail hour will begin at 4:00 and last for an hour. Small bites and such will be available to munch on during that time. There will be a BBQ dinner buffet provided by Montana BBQ being served at around 5:00. A dessert table will be an option after the cake cutting!
We would like to…the bride proudly plans on taking the last name Smith. If you have any ideas, send them our way!
The bride and groom will both be viable options to direct questions to/reach out to about changes of plans and whatnot. Since they will be in the midst of postpartum bliss from August onward, they will have lots of grace for any confusion that can be cleared up or life happening and throwing a wrench your way.
Yes! There are hotels/lodging options like AirBnB in Sheridan, Ranchester, and Dayton if that’s more your style. However, when you CALL THE FAIRFIELD, 307-675-1280,you can get a discounted price to stay there for the wedding because we have a block.
Please RSVP by Friday, September 6th! Make sure to answer the transportation question. It says optional, but please answer it anyway!
