We're getting married!

We met as teenagers hanging out with friends after school at Memphis' Southland Mall. What started off as constant text messages grew to become puppy love. We continued to build a friendship and date through high school, college, became parents, and look at us now! We always joke that we would have never thought that chance encounter at the mall as teens would have led to this friendship, parenthood, and now marriage.

It was a December night, we were all having family time watching television. I left the room for a moment when I heard Jeremy whisper to our son Jeremiah, "ask your mom if she will marry me." I thought nothing of it. Jeremiah then came to me as I re-entered the room and said "mom, will you marry dad?" Thinking we were all joking as usual, I replied while laughing "yea, sure." Then out of nowhere Jeremy appeared with a box, on one knee, and popped the big question himself. I realized this was no joke and happily said "YES!" We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
