What is the dress code?

Our dress code is "Autumnal Festive/Farmhouse Semi-Formal" – a stylish yet comfortable approach to wedding attire. Think elegant fall tones and sophisticated seasonal dressing. While our wedding colors are burgundy and plum, we don't expect you to match them exactly. We invite you to wear your "Sunday Best" – something polished and refined that makes you feel wonderful. Don't stress about being overly formal. Just avoid jeans, t-shirts, and shorts. We recommend layering your outfit, as evening temperatures might cool down, ensuring you stay comfortable throughout our celebration.

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

Yes, we have a wedding registry! You can find all the details on the Registry page of our website! We would be honored for whomever wishes to contribute to our camper fund, but are just grateful for everyone to come and celebrate with us. We choose to do something a little more untraditional for our registry because we have what we need for our household and love camping. Both of us grew up going camping with our families and see this as something we can use for many years to come!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

The ceremony will start at 3:30 p.m. Please arrive 15 minutes before the ceremony to get settled.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, convenient parking is available at our wedding venue. Clearly marked signs will guide you to the designated parking areas on the day of our celebration.

Will there be transportation from Parking to Ceremony Location?

Answer

Yes, we'll haves a golf cart and/or side-by-sides available to transport guests from parking to the ceremony location for anyone who would like such assistance.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly request that guests do not take photos during the event. We have professional photographers to capture every moment so we can unplug and enjoy!

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes, we'll be offering a variety of beverages for our guests. Our bar will feature a selection of beer, wine, whiskey, vodka, and other spirits, along with sodas and mixers. Guests can enjoy a self-serve bar experience, creating their own custom drinks. We'll also provide plenty of non-alcoholic options to ensure everyone has something delightful to enjoy.

Travel suggestions - Airports

Answer

For guests traveling by air, Sioux Falls, SD is the nearest airport, located approximately 1.5 hours from the Lake Park, IA area. If this airport doesn't suit your travel plans, Omaha, NE and Des Moines, IA are alternative options, each about 3 to 3.5 hours from our wedding location.
