The beautiful Taughannocks falls is a quick and easy attraction to see in the area. This main attraction is easily accessible by car and a short walking distance from the Inn at Taughannock Falls. There are different hiking trails that bring all around the falls, please visit the website listed for more information.
You cannot come to the finger lakes without stopping at a winery (or five). Please Google Seneca lake wine trail and Cayuga lake wine trail for more information. Note that not EVERY winery on the lake is listed and should not limit your options! See FAQs for our personal favorite wineries.
Directly across the street from the hiking trails is Taughannock State Park. Located on the lake, the park provides boat rentals, stand-up paddle boarding, swimming, and fishing. This is also walking distance from the Inn at Taughannock Falls.
Located on Seneca Lake. Within two miles, the glen's stream descends 400 feet past 200-foot cliffs, generating 19 waterfalls along its course. The gorge path winds over and under waterfalls and through the spray of Cavern Cascade. Rim trails overlook the gorge. When done, be sure to take a stroll into the town of Watkins Glen to experience old town charm.
