Kasey and Breena both attended Medical Lake High School and were only a year apart. They knew the same people, had the same teachers, and roamed the same halls of a very tiny school without ever meeting each other. Kasey even knew Breena's sister, Autumn! Their first date was with their friends Jonathan and Elly, who set them up. Here are our perspectives of the first date! Breena's Perspective: My best friend, and now Maid of Honor, Elly wanted to set me up with a guy through a double date. She gave me a choice between two of Jonathan's friends, and I chose Kasey (best choice I've made in my life!) We were planning to meet at Denny's on Division St in Spokane in the afternoon for dinner. Elly and I were going to carpool to the date. It turns out that we did not have the best of luck with our cars that night, but I'm glad that did not stop us from making it to our date!! On the way to meet up with Elly, my '93 Subaru Legacy's fuel pump went out and I was left stranded in the Atilano's parking lot in Airway Heights! Elly came to pick me up, and we left the car to be dealt with the next day. During the drive to Denny's, Elly's passenger side window broke, and we were blasted with cold September air for most of the drive there. When we arrived, the boys helped us dumpster dive for some cardboard and tape up the window to make for a more comfortable drive home. Finally settled in for our date, we ordered our food and started getting to know each other. Kasey and I were both shy, but we got to know each other a little bit throughout the date. Afterwards, I sent him a friend request on Facebook, and he took me out to sushi and froyo for our next date. I would find out later that he despises sushi, and could care less about froyo! After our first "solo" date, we really hit it off and have been inseparable since ❤ Kasey's Perspective: One fall day, Jonathan Murphy texted me out of the blue to see if I wanted to go on a double date with him, a girl from Walmart (for himself) and her friend (Breena) for me. After checking Breena out on facebook, I told him I would definitely be down. We then met up, hopped in my Toyota MR2, and went to Dennys to meet up with the girls. When we got there, we all grabbed a table and began chatting and ordering food. The first red flag I ignored, Breena ordered breakfast at night. Most of the conversation revolved around movies that I had not seen or that I despised. The second red flag I ignored, she loved Lord of the Rings. Not being much of a movie person, I mostly listened, but I was beginning to tell that Breena had a really fun sense of humor. After dinner, Jonathan and I helped the girls with some car troubles before leaving for the night.
