If you would have told me that I was going to meet my future husband at only 14 years old, casually cruising our small town backroads, I would have never believed you. It sounded like something I only imagined in my younger years. But here we are, planning the wedding of our dreams, 11 years later. There is something pretty incredible about experiencing the chaotic years of adolescence & adulthood with the one you end up marrying. What makes our story so unique? We have completely transformed from children to adults, simultaneously. And now we have an added blessing to our story - Wesley. Having a child together truly has been a test to our love for each other and made us even more certain that we were meant to spend this life side by side. Our wedding night is going to be very special, one that I hope no one will forget. It will be a celebration of our 11 years together and our future as The Breitenstein's.
Todd proposed to me in one of our favorite cities to visit, Phoenix. We hiked up an "extremely difficult" trail on Camelback mountain that was only a mile long hike but had an elevation gain of 1,264 ft. We didn't realize what we got ourselves into until we reached the trail entrance. Todd carried Wesley up and down that hill. He surprised me at the top and proposed with the beautiful Phoenix skyline in our view.
