Anand Karaj (Wedding Ceremony): The most important event, is conducted in the Gurdwara, where the couple takes four Laavan (sacred walks) around the Guru Granth Sahib, symbolizing the stages of married life. A priest recites the Laavan while the couple walks around the holy scripture, seeking blessings from Waheguru (God). The ceremony concludes outside where family and friends can join the couple for shagun, photos and lunch.
