Garrett and I have been friends since elementary school at West Side Christian. We enjoy playing basketball in the summer and watching funny movies. Garrett has always been good at finding fun things to do and is easy to talk to. I am glad he said yes to stand next to me on my wedding day!

Mary was my roommate throughout graduate school at Western Michigan University. I don't think I would have been able to get through graduate school without her. We both hate driving and spending money, so we spent many nights together playing games and watching Netflix. We have grown very close over the past 2 years, and have overcome many challenges together. Mary, I am so excited to have you join me on my wedding day!
Peter Veldkamp

Peter and I have known each other since our first years at West Side Christian. We did Science Olympiad in middle school together and both ran cross country in high school at Calvin Christian. Peter and I are on the same team for our two-on-two basketball games against Garrett and Jason, and he definitely carries our team. I'm glad I can have him standing with me to start the next chapter in my life!

I met Denise at Grand Valley State University. We became roommates and friends very quickly. We were both busy, but we always carved out time for roommate nights. Denise is always fun to be around, and we have spent many nights laughing and talking. Denise, I am so excited to have you in my wedding!
Jason Riddering

Jason and I first met at cross country camp before my freshman year of high school. My first impression of him was that he was a very odd kid, but since then, we have gotten to know each other very well and still hang out after college. We have run the Riverbank 25K run with Team Triumph twice together and have gone on many adventures. I am happy to have him by my side as I start the next chapter in my life!

I met Alex in high school, but we didn't become close until college. I lived with Alex for my first two years of college. Alex has helped me through a lot of life changes- including convincing me to go on a date with Michael. Some of the best memories we've had together include: exploring Grand Valley's campus, Superbowl parties, and all of our late night conversations in the bunk beds. Thanks for being such a great friend Alex! I am so glad you agreed to help me through another big decision! :)
Eric Brecker

Eric is my younger brother. We have gone from him receiving hand-me-downs from me to me receiving hand-me-downs from him, as he has outgrown me. Some of my favorite times with him are playing ball tag on the playground with neighborhood friends and hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains with him while leaving our parents in the dust. I'm glad he will be standing with me on my wedding day!
Christina Kollien

Christina and I have been friends the longest. We became friends in middle school, made many memories in high school, and have recently been in contact more frequently now that college is over. I love that we are able to spend the last four years apart, yet still pick up conversations as though nothing has changed. Christina is always fun to be around-whether she is singing with the dogs, dancing uncontrollably, or just talking about school- it is never boring. Thank you for still being my friend- even after all the ex-boyfriends and middle school drama. I am so excited to have you in my wedding!

Miles is probably one of the smartest three-year-olds you will ever meet! He is my one and only nephew (so far) and is always a joy to be around. If you have any questions about dinosaurs or heavy machinery-he is your guy!
