FAQs

If you have any questions that are not specifically addressed here, please feel free to reach out to either of us if it is before July 24th. If you have a burning question anytime within the 2 days before the wedding, please direct it towards our "coordinator" Brockie at Mrs.follette@gmail.com, as we ourselves will be busy busy busy :) We want to work to get all your questions answered!! - Micah and Brecken
Question

I'm not local, where can I stay?

Answer

We so appreciate you making the trip to celebrate with us! There are a few hotel options and AirBnBs in the closely neighboring towns like Greensburg and Pratt! Kingman, Wichita, and/or Dodge City (depending on where you fly in to) also have some options, they're just a bit further of a drive! If you're not looking for anything fancy, would prefer to not have a drive, and/or just need something cheap that has the essentials (like a bed and a roof), we have made a deal with Barclay (the college in Haviland) for accommodations! You can rent out a dorm room for $40/night. Each room includes 2 twin beds and a shared bathroom connecting to one other room. Bedding and towels will be provided. If you are wanting to take advantage of this option, please let us know by July 1st so we can communicate this with the right people and make sure everything is in order!

Question

Where should I send gifts, cards, or packages if they are coming via mail?

Answer

Please address it to either one of us and send it to the following address: 21420 NE Red Hills Ln Dundee, OR 97115

Question

Will there be somewhere to put larger gifts at the ceremony or reception?

Answer

While there will be a table for gifts and cards, we ask that larger items be sent directly to our address in Oregon (21420 NE Red Hills Ln. Dundee, OR 97115) keeping in mind we will be flying back there after the wedding, and will not have the space to pack large items home with us. With that being said, if for whatever reason your gift cannot be shipped, we will find a way to make it work, and are thankful for your generosity!

Question

Are the ceremony and the reception going to take place at the same location?

Answer

Yes! We are so fortunate to have sweet friends willing to let us use their space. Events will take place at Steve and Marlieta Davis' property, which is where the address on your invites will take you (of note: the road to their driveway will be blocked to the public, but there will be signs to direct you to parking from there - see "where should I park" section below). The ceremony will take place in the meadow and just a short walk away, through the trees, you'll find the reception. With that being said, consider your foot wear. It is mostly grass you'll be maneuvering on.

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

For you local locals, we encourage walking (weather permitting) because we are praying for a beautiful, perfectly warm and breezy day! However, if that's not an enticing idea, and for those that are not local, there will be parking at Barclay College campus behind Worden Memorial Library, just a couple blocks down the road from the ceremony! Look for the signs! We'll have a bus and some golf carts to shuttle people to the ceremony. You are also welcome to park at the lot and walk! As far as leaving the wedding, we will have some scheduled times for the shuttles to return to the parking lot as well. Also in regards to leaving the event, if a member of your party wants to walk/shuttle back to the lot, and then drive through to pick the rest of your party up, that works too! We just ask you drive slowly, and don't create a traffic jam through their drive way :)

Question

Will the reception include a dinner?

Answer

Yep! After the ceremony, a reception will be held, where a meal will be hosted by the Bride and Groom and their families.

Question

I have dietary restrictions... can I still eat?

Answer

We are planning to have gluten free and dairy free options. No one goes hungry! Be sure to note your dietary restrictions with your RSVP so we don't miss you! This means filling out the google form that you can find on the home page of this website.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Absolutely! We love your kiddos and are happy to include them! Your invitations will allow you to RSVP for a certain number in your party, so when filling it out, you can decide whether you'll bring them along or make it a date night :) If your invitation does not give you "a spot" for your kids, it's assumed they are in college or are grown and off doing their own thing :)

Question

What's the back-up plan if Kansas does its whole unpredictable weather thing?

Answer

TBD

Question

What do I wear?!?

Answer

Whatever you want! We want you to be comfortable and confident! Our best advice - take into consideration the weather and your closet, and dress accordingly. BUT ALSO, it's a celebration!! So if you need a reason to wear that outfit you always want to wear but don't have an occasion for (you know, the one that just sits in your closet, but that you know reminds everyone that you are an absolute work of art.)... HERE IT IS! Wear it!! Unless of course it's white ;) If it's bold and bright or garden-party-esque, we want to see it! Be as extravagant or as not extravagant as you want. If you're anything like my Uncle Bill you'll be in a Hawaiian shirt and shorts :)

Question

How early should I get there?

Answer

Somewhere between 10-15 minutes early, but any earlier and you'll be sitting for awhile, and probably lonely :)

For all the days along the way
