FAQs

a collection of questions that wedding blogs suggested we answer...
Question

what's the weather like?

Answer

average Key West temps in March range from 70-79°. definitely bring a light jacket for the evenings!

Question

what to know about the ceremony + reception?

Answer

the ceremony will begin at 6 sharp - please arrive by 5:45pm! both the ceremony + reception will be outdoors. immediately following, we will take a 5min walk to Kaya Bar + Grill for the after party.

Question

what should we wear?

Answer

whatever you can dance in! attire is formal garden party - we recommend a suit, midi or floor length dress, and comfortable shoes. please note the reception area does have an uneven mulch floor.

Question

is there a room block?

Answer

there is not. hotels + accommodations are notoriously pricey in Key West, even with March being shoulder season. we recommend booking early + grouping up to rent a private house. check out our travel tab for additional details!

Question

can I bring a plus 1?

Answer

unfortunately due to the historic nature of our wedding site, they are incredibly strict about capacity. while we wish we could extend the invitation to all of our loved ones, if their name is not on the invitation we will not be able to accommodate. that said - the wedding + reception together are less than 5 hours! feel free to bring along a guest for the weekend and have them meet us at the after party. please give b or b a heads up to account for extra guests during other weekend events.

Question

what are we eating?

Answer

there will be a cocktail hour immediately following the ceremony with passed appetizers. for dinner we'll enjoy tacos, palella, and quesadillas made on site. given the late start time + boozy nature of the island, remember to eat lunch!

Question

is there an open bar?

Answer

have you met us?

Question
