When should I reserve my room at Balbirnie House by?

Our hold on the rooms ends on March 8, 2025. Please book your room for June 8, 2025 prior to this date to help ensure a room is available. If interested in staying the night before the wedding, June 7, 2025, please let the bride and/or groom know and we will reach out if rooms are available.

What documents do I need to travel to the UK?

A valid passport and Electronic Travel Authorization (see Travel section for details)

Please arrive 30 minutes prior to ceremony start time.

Is there a dress code?

Yes. Formal attire or Highland dress.

Are kids welcome?
Answer
This event is primarily for adults; however, we’ve made exceptions for certain children by prior arrangement. Thank you for your understanding and we're so excited to celebrate with you!

What weather should I expect in Scotland?

On average, there are highs of 16°C (61°F) and lows of 8°C (46°F) with "some lovely warm days in the low to mid 20s°C (68°F)"

Can I bring a gift to the wedding?
Answer
As this is a destination wedding, we kindly ask that if you choose to give us a gift, please ship it to our home. For the address, please see registry. That said, we will have a box for cards!

Will there be an open bar?
Answer
We can't wait to celebrate with you and host you for canapes & dinner. Some drinks will be provided. For anything additional, Balbirnie is a cashless business so please bring a credit card to enjoy bar service.
