Bend is a short 20 minute drive with tons of great restaurants, breweries and shopping. The Deschutes River Trail is also a great hike for all levels that we did last summer. Hiking Near Sunriver
Benham Falls via Deschutes River Trail (1.7 miles, 38 min) Following the Deschutes River, the trail offers beautiful views of the river and forest, leading to the powerful rapids of Benham Falls Lava Butte from the Lava Lands Visitor Center (3.8 mi, 1:42 hrs) Starting at the Lava Lands Visitor Center, the trail winds through ponderosa pines and lava fields, offering stunning views of the Cascade Range Mt. Bachelor Hikes Multiple hikes on the mountain close by, ranging from easy to difficult Smith Rock State Park A slightly farther drive but worth it. Stunning state park with dramatic scenery and hikes for all levels!
