She wanted to play with me all the time, hang out with my friends, and always brought out the best in everyone. Fast-forward to 2016, she traveled around the world to visit me. Again she easily made friends with my friends and continued to find the light in others. When she texted me to say “I met this guy!” I couldn’t wait to meet him. I promptly scheduled a 6-hour car ride with them! Joe was perfect for her and they laughed so much together. To this day Breanne is one of the best people I know. We haven't lived in the same state since, but that doesn't stop us from celebrating birthdays together, traveling together, or finding the newest patio/rooftop our cities' restaurants have to offer! "I met Joe in college through our fraternity, Beta. We became close friends while taking a Philosophy class freshman year, where he would regularly perform worse on papers and tests than I. We'd spend the hour before class playing games and talking about whatever topic would come up. Eventually, we became roommates in Ames for a year and I ended up stealing his cat from him, who lives with me to this day. Today, having been close friends for more than 10 years, Joe is someone I talk to every day and is the person I can go to about anything and everything, from serious to incredibly stupid topics, for example, the other day I asked him what kind of flakes he would feed me if I was a goldfish, and he assured me I'd be fed the finest fish flakes because that's the kind of person Joe is."-John

Something fun is I lived with him for almost 3 years and we didn't end up hating each other haha! I essentially hung out with him every day for years. Joe is one of my best friends. "Where to start? Breanne has been blessing my life since the day I met her in 2017. We have shared so many memories, life events, happy and sad moments together in these 4 short years that it could make up a lifetime. I've never had a sister but Breanne has already been so much like a sister to me that it just makes sense for her to marry my brother. Being official sisters has always been our master plan so of course I had to introduce her to my brother and seal the deal. Thank goodness they actually ended up liking each other. In all seriousness, Breanne is truly the most amazing, genuine, loving, caring soul I've ever met. Not only has she been blessing my life since 2017, by my whole family's. "The first time I met Joe, I and a bunch of guys living at Beta were playing football, and the guy who recruited us all invited Joe and his roommate. It was a really fun time and one of the first things a lot of us did together. Joe and I bonded a lot over video games. A fun memory I have is Joe and I hanging out in his room while he played Outlast, a horror video game. We both were freaking out together while he tried to get through it." - Alex

"I met Breanne in 2011 when we lived on the same dorm floor at UNI. I was rooming with Morgan, her now sister-in-law, and the three of us were together all of the time! We had SO much fun. Breanne ended up transferring, but we always remained close and were sure to visit each other. Whenever we get together it is like nothing has changed, and I can always count on her. Whether it's driving 3 hours in the wrong direction on a road trip, playing board games, or just getting dinner to catch up, I always know I am going to laugh and have a good time with Breanne! I also have her to thank for setting me up with her brother, my now husband! Between Breanne and myself, she is the more soft spoken one and I am the louder, more opinionated one so she knows I’ll always be there for her and let her know exactly what I’m thinking, especially when it comes to guys! When she first introduced Joe, I knew right away he was going to be a keeper!
