We’re getting married!

Zack and I met the first day of a long blizzard in 2015. We ate lunch together, laughed a lot and I got soup in my hair. He found this somehow endearing, and we soon set up a date. That’s how it all began for us and now we get to eat lunch together almost every day (with much less soup spillage, of course). Zack asked me to marry him on a crisp October morning in 2017, and I (obviously) said of course! He has always kept a little jar labeled “Good Things” on my desk full of insights and memories written on folded paper. Whenever I have a less than great day or just need a pick me up I open one of these good things and a smile is instantly brought to my face. The day that Zack proposed, he brought the jar with us to the botanical center in Des Moines, without my knowledge. In the jar he wrote our shared good things such as our pets, family, and friends on paper. And the last one had a ring on it! Since every monumental moment in our lives has started in the fall, our day is September 29th, 2018. We hope to see you there and enjoy our “good things” with us!
