Bree: Luis and I first met during Easter break of '17. He was a random kid who showed up at my parents house to hang out for the weekend with my sister and his best friend, Ciro. During the year we slowly built a friendship. I would see him occasionally and catch up during back and forth visits at IWU. Long story short, once I was available he did not hesitate to pursue me! At first I was like "He's cute but heck, no! He's too young!" but... here we are! He quickly won me over with his persistence and his love. Luis would do anything for me. Even wake up at 5:00 am to talk with me over FaceTime while I got ready to teach. I took a risk and visited him in California the summer of 2018. During my time there I met his WHOLE family. They were so welcoming and so kind it was hard not to feel at home. Throughout the trip we traveled and explored the beauty of California and I grew a deep admiration for Luis and all that he came from. Luis asked me to be his girlfriend at Redondo Beach, as we were swimming in the ocean watching the sweet California sunset. It really was a picture perfect movie moment. Then began the embark on the treacherous journey of long distance. I can't believe we are here but at the same time, I totally can! Luis: As Bree has already mentioned our paths crossed back in 2017. I never in a million years thought the Lord would help me land an absolute piece of art. Bree offers so many things when it comes to her personality and that might just be why I fell madly in love with her. Among these attributes we find kindness, joy, peace, love, passion, trust, compassion... yes she has the ability to give direction to my ego, but most importantly she has brought grace and patience into my life and is something that I will forever admire her for. It is her second nature to care for those she loves and if it requires her to help me bathe a broken leg she will do it without hesitation. These past three years have been a taste of whats to come. I LOVE HER.
