Love Story

It all started with a drink.. literally!

We met at a bar, and as cliché as it may sound, it was one of the best nights of our lives. That was the night everything changed. I remember the moment she walked up to the bar—how stunning she looked. In that instant, nothing else mattered. I wasn’t even paying attention to anyone else around me. I quickly served the other customers just to have a chance to talk to her. When the opportunity finally came, it felt like the world disappeared, and it was just the two of us. I was completely captivated by her beauty. After she ordered drinks for herself and her mom, I knew I had to find a way to get her back to the bar. So, I made an extra drink for her, even though she didn’t ask for it. I just had to find an excuse to go back and speak to her. I introduced myself to both her and her mom, and I can still remember one of the first things I said to her mom. I told her I was going to marry her daughter. She looked at me and laughed, but I meant every word. Now, in April, I’m going to officially keep that promise. I’m so incredibly grateful to be part of this wonderful family, and I can’t wait to make this amazing woman my wife. I remember that night too, even though I didn’t expect anything out of the ordinary to happen. It was just supposed to be a casual evening with my mom. But when I walked up to the bar, something about the way he looked at me felt different. At first, I thought maybe it was just the way he looked at all his customers, but when he quickly served everyone else just to talk to me, I realized I might be wrong. I was a little taken aback when he made me an extra drink—especially since I hadn’t asked for one—but there was something about the way he smiled when he came back to speak with me that made me feel like I wanted to know him better. When he introduced himself to both me and my mom, I didn’t know what to think when he told my mom he was going to marry me. It sounded so bold—so sudden—but his sincerity made me believe he wasn’t joking. And, truth be told, a part of me couldn’t help but feel a little excited at the thought of it. Now, looking back, I’m amazed at how fast things have changed, but it feels right. I can’t wait for April—when we’ll make it official. He’s more than just the man I’m going to marry; he’s someone I feel incredibly lucky to share my life with.
