You can find this huge granite boulder nearly 1000 feet above the village. A beautiful entryway into the Mourne Mountains. Local legend is that the giant Fionn mac Cumhaill threw this stone from the other side of Carlingford Lough when he was in a fight with another giant! Unfortunately for the other giant, the stone landed on his head, crushing his body back into the mountain where it melted away like ice beneath the stone.
