Our Story

Hunter and Breanna’s story began just as any great South Louisiana romance should...at a Mardi Gras parade! Among the beads, bands, and king cake crumbs, they met for the first time and had no idea how big a role they'd play in each other’s lives. For weeks, their connection grew stronger over countless dates at Café du Monde. Between laughter, late-night talks, and more powdered sugar than either would like to admit, they spent almost every day during the spring of 2019 getting to know each other. A few months later, they went to Los Angeles for Breanna's senior trip with her mom, where they discovered June gloom (who knew LA could be so cold). Despite the unexpected chilly weather, Hunter tried to plan the perfect moment to ask Breanna to be his girlfriend on Venice Beach. The only problem? She was starving, although he and her mother would argue that she was indeed hangry. His carefully timed plan turned into a spontaneous question asked in the back of an Uber on the 405. This moment has been laughed about ever since and it is one that still perfectly captures who they are: imperfectly perfect, full of humor, and always finding their way together, no matter the obstacle. Since that day, their relationship has grown through every season of life. Together, they’ve navigated Breanna’s years as a festival queen, her undergrad and graduate journeys, and countless sorority events. They’ve weathered a hurricane evacuation and weeks of rebuilding their communities, supported each other’s professional dreams, and found comfort and joy in simply growing up side by side. Through it all, they’ve kept one promise to themselves: to always make time for adventure. Their shared love of travel has taken them everywhere from Los Angeles and Atlanta to Seattle and the Bahamas, always leaving them with a new story to tell. In August of 2024, they added another little piece to their story... a 4-month-old Russian Blue kitten named Stella Rosa (named after Breanna's favorite wine). The sassiest, most dramatic little creature they’ve ever met quickly turned them into proud cat parents (something neither of them ever expected). She’s been their constant source of laughter and light ever since (on her terms, of course). Then, one year later, in August 2025, Hunter proposed during a quiet hike outside of Anacortes on Fidalgo Island in Washington, one of Breanna’s favorite places in the world. During a quiet hike surrounded by towering evergreens and total stillness, he proposed. There was no cell service, no crowd, no cameras besides their phones. It was just the two of them soaking in the moment before heading back to the city. It was simple, peaceful, and perfectly them. From a Mardi Gras parade to a quiet proposal in the Pacific Northwest, Hunter and Breanna’s story has always been about finding joy in every chapter — whether it’s in the chaos, the calm, or the in-between.
