Our First Date

Love at First Sight

Brandon drove an hour and a half just to see me for our first date—and even met my parents ahead of time so they wouldn’t worry. He somehow talked me into going to the zoo with him— and despite the fact that it was hot as heck, it turned out to be one of the best days of my life. From the start, everything just felt natural and easy. We walked through the exhibits, watched the dolphin show, and laughed more than I had in a long time. Every time we stopped to look at the animals, he’d wrap his arms around me and it would make each moment feel special. When we stopped to look at the eagles, he mentioned that eagles stay together for life, and then he asked me to be his eagle. I won’t lie, even though I said yes, I was confused if he was asking me to be his girlfriend or not. To be clear, he was. I had him confirm it for me later. The date didn’t stop after the zoo. We grabbed Mexican food for lunch, went swimming, talked, and watched a movie before he finally left. Somehow we ended up spending over twelve hours together by the end. By the time the day was over, we both knew something was different. It wasn’t just a good first date—it felt like the start of something real. It was fun, effortless, and full of those little moments that just stick with you. We’ve been inseparable ever since.

Our Love Story

A Love Worth Waiting For

We met in the most unexpected way and connected instantly—what started as something casual quickly turned into something real, natural, and full of joy. Within a year, we’d built a life together with our two sweet (and very energetic) boys, and it’s been love, laughter, and chaos ever since. Every day, we’re reminded how lucky we are to have found each other—this kind of love is calm, supportive, and full of tiny moments that matter most. We’re best friends, partners, and now, soon-to-be husband and wife. We can't wait to celebrate this next chapter surrounded by the people who mean the most to us. Thank you for being part of our story!

The Proposal

07.01.25

During a family trip to Florida, Brandon planned a special date night just for us. (Thankfully, my parents were on board to watch the boys!) We were supposed to take a romantic sunset cruise—but Florida had other plans. The weather wasn’t cooperating, and our sunset trip was canceled. So instead, we hopped on an earlier dolphin-watching boat and had a great time. The boat took us to Shell Island, where we walked along the shore together, hand in hand, collecting shells and enjoying the moment. It may not have been what we originally pictured, but it turned out to be peaceful, meaningful, and honestly, kind of perfect. After we got back, we decided to head to the beach to catch what we could of the sunset. I insisted that I needed a towel , and Brandon, being the sweet person he is, stopped to get one for me. We laid it out on the sand and snuggled up to watch what little of the sunset we could see through the clouds. I turned my head to look at something—and when I turned back, there he was, holding out a ring. He asked me to marry him, and of course, I said yes. He slid the ring on my finger, and we sat there together watching the sky change colors. Eventually the rain started coming down, and we had to rush back to the car. Honestly, all the little changed we had to make just made it even better. Imperfect, beautiful, and full of love.
