Is Dreams Playa Mujeres an all inclusive resort?

Answer

Yes, Dreams Playa Mujeres is an all inclusive resort. What this means is, all of your food, drinks, and alcoholic beverages are covered in your package. Whether you want to grab a quick bite to eat, have a drink or a few by the pool, or sit down for a nice dinner at one of the restaurants on the property - all of your food is included with the price of your room. There is also entertainment and 24/7 room service.

Do I need a passport to travel to Mexico?

Answer

Yes, in order to travel to Mexico you will need a Passport Book that will not expire 6 months prior to the trip. If you do not know how to get a passport, please go to www.usa.gov/passport. Passports generally take 6-8 weeks, if not longer, so we recommend our guests to get them as quickly as they can.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

You can expect 80-91°F days while visiting Quintana Roo, Cancun in September. When the sun goes down, the temperatures can drop. Nighttime temperatures in Mexico average about 71-74°F, though the humidity also usually isn't as bad as during the day.

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Due to the nature of the event, an RSVP will be considered confirmed once a hotel room has been secured with a deposit. We ask this be done by Monday, October 30, 2023. You can put your deposit through our booking website. This will ensure our guests have ample time to pay remaining balance prior to travel and will also guarantee the reduced room rate. If you cannot make it, please let us know as soon as possible so we can keep planning accordingly.

Do you have a room block?

Answer

Yes, we have reserved a block of rooms throughout the resort depending on the type of room you pick. We did our best to ensure that we have a variety of room options for you to choose from, but booking early will help! As the saying goes... First come, first served! Please visit our booking website to view some the room options. *https://www.destinationweddings.com/Weddings/Guests/AttendaWedding.aspx* There are 4 different suite options and 4 different “Club” level suites to pick from. Please book your room through our booking website. If you want a room that is not listed on the booking website then please let us know.

How long should I stay?

Answer

We encourage you to stay as long or as short as you'd like! It's your vacation too! When booking on the Booking Website, simply select what dates you would like to stay. Keep in mind, there is a 3 night minimum and the wedding is on Tuesday, September 17, 2024. We have held a room block starting Sunday, September 15, 2024. We do request for you to at least arrive Sunday, September 15, 2024 - Wednesday, September 18, 2024 to be able to enjoy the pre-wedding festivities we will have, as well as the wedding.

Do I have to book through your travel agent?

Answer

Yes, we ask that you book your stay through our booking website in order to be a part of our wedding group and to receive the discounted rate. If you have any questions or issues booking through the booking website, please reach out to Adeline Estrada at aestrada@destinationweddings.com, she is here to answer any travel/booking questions you may have to make the booking process as stress-free as possible.

What airport do I fly into?

Answer

When you book your flights, be sure you are flying into the CANCUN airport, code CUN. The resort is about 30 minutes from the airport.

Is there a dress code? What should I wear?

Answer

Yes, there will be a dress code. We will be giving everyone detailed information about this soon. We will be creating a travel/wedding guide for you with information you will need, including attire information on each event to give our guests an idea of what to pack per day.

What if I can't make it to the wedding?

Answer

While celebrating our wedding in paradise is important to us, we completely understand that traveling to Mexico for a Tuesday evening ceremony might not be realistic for some of our family and friends. If for any reason you aren't able to join us, we'll be looking forward to toasting with you the next time we see you!

Can I use American money in Mexico?

Answer

Yes! we recommend bringing small bills ($1s, $5s, $10s) to tip bartenders and servers if you are experiencing good service. Tipping is not mandatory, however, we have found if we tip, we tend to receive drinks and slightly faster service with smiles. Tipping at an all inclusive resort is not at all like tipping in America - no need to ensure you're giving 20%. Often tip a few dollars here and there. Make sure you call your bank before you leave and let them know you will be in Mexico in case you need to purchase anything with credit/debit cards.

What days do I need to book my travel for?

Answer

There is a 3 night minimum. The wedding will be on September 17, 2024. We ask all guests to arrive by September 15, 2024 so everyone can come to the pre wedding events!

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to safety protocols and wanting to keep our wedding intimate, we will only accommodate guests formally invited by us. Please feel free to e-mail us with any questions!

When must my trip be paid off?

Answer

Final payment is due May 6th, 2024 for anyone that has NOT booked with travel protection. Final payment is due July 5th, 2024 for anyone that purchased travel protection at the time of booking their room(s). If you are having issues with making payments please contact our travel agent Adeline Estrada at aestrada@destinationweddings.com. Please be sure to include your reservation number in your email.

Transportation to and from the airport?

Answer

Roundtrip airport transfers (the ride between the airport and resort) is a service we include with your room reservation. To confirm this service for you, we must submit a complete list of passengers and flights to the transfer company at least 30 days prior to travel. We will be sending you emails about this so you can submit your flight itinerary. The transfers included will pick you up at the airport on the day we have you checking in at the resort and bring you back to the airport on the day we have you checking out. If we do not receive your flight details by the deadline, you will need to arrange and pay for your own transportation to and from the resort.

Where is your gift registry?

Answer

Our only wish is for you to be there with us on the happiest day of our lives. If you want to do something more, or would like to send a gift because you won't be able to attend our wedding; we have a registry available on the registry page. Any contribution is greatly appreciated!

Cancel Insurance/Travel Protection?

Answer

By purchasing Cancel Insurance/Travel Protection, you are protecting your vacation investment. If needed, you can cancel your room prior to departure for any reason. Simply call the number in your travel documents at any time prior to the day of departure to confirm your cancellation and receive a complete refund, minus the cost of the insurance. There are no refunds when Cancel Insurance/Travel Protection is declined. Once the Cancel Insurance/Travel Protection policy is purchased, it cannot be cancelled, refunded or transferred. Cancel Insurance/Travel Protection is only available at the time of deposit and covers your room reservation only. If you decline Cancel Insurance/Travel Protection when making your initial reservation, you will not be able to add it later.
