How We Met

August 2006

Tre and I met our freshman year at McEachern High School in Mrs. MT's English class. Tre would sit behind me and pull my hair every time we had this class. I began to grow very annoyed with him and to be honest I really did not like him lol, but just my luck we had a class together every year and he would sit right behind me in each class! He graduated from pulling my hair to asking for my phone to play a game, and I would refuse every time. Senior year came around and this was the first year that me and Tre did not have a class together. Although we never had a class together we still always crossed paths because we would have classes in the same buildings, he was on the football team, I was a cheerleader, and our friends were all in the same circle! On October 30, 2009, I received a phone call from our friend Rajaan and he was telling me how much Tre liked me and wanted to get to know me more and that he wanted all of us to go to a haunted house on Halloween. I was sceptical at first, but I took a chance and went. We had such a good time! After that day, Tre and I would "talk" (date for the older crowd lol) off and on from that point on but we always hung out with each other. We went through so many ups and downs as friends that really brought us closer together! We finally made it official in 2011. After finally making it official and having the time of our lives we soon found out that we were expecting a baby boy! We were blessed with Brayden on May, 12, 2012! It's been history ever since, We have all grown up together and learned a new found love for each other. We have made a beautiful family and have been blessed to have such a huge support system!

The Proposal

March 7, 2020

It was the week of my birthday and Brayden kept hinting that his daddy had something special for me on my birthday. My birthday came around on March 4th, and I was anticipating something really special! Tre made sure my day was special, but nothing extraordinary happened (He said that he had to change his plans up due to Brayden trying to keep me on my toes lol). I choose to go to Juicy Crab for dinner (1.5 week before Covid-19). The restaurant was new and they didn't have an alcohol license so we were unable to have any birthday celebritory drinks that night. Tre's mom, Mrs. Kim suggested that we should meet 1 day that weekend to have drinks for my birthday, so I suggested that maybe we go to my parents house. Little did I know that once this plan came into place, Tre's back up plan came into affect. As we were finishing up at the restaurant and going around talking to everybody and saying our goodbyes Tre pulled my parents aside to tell them that he wanted to propose to me on Saturday night when we all came over. My mom and Tre talked all week to make sure this day was special! I had no idea lol! Saturday March 7, 2020 came and the plan for that night was to go to my parents house to have a few drinks and then go downtown. We got to my mom and dads house, it was so many cars there. That wasn't out of the ordinary because both my parents and Tre's parents know how to quickly throw a little party together. As we walked in the house the, both of our moms met us at the door full of excitement. I thought this was strange but I didn't give it much thought. Everybody was standing around in silence which was also strange given the amount of loved ones there. I walked into the dimmed living room where I saw Brayden standing and right under his feet was a pile of roses in the shape of heart with candles lit all around. Tre walked in to meet me in the middle of the heart. He then got on 1 knee to ask me to spend the rest our lives together! and of course I said, YES!
