La Jolla cove is the quintessential "San Diego" backdrop- Locals and tourists alike come to the cove to check out the sea lions and during the months of June-October pregnant Leopard sharks make an annual appearance! They can be seen from the shore since they come in the hundreds, or if you're feeling adventurous take a dip in the Pacific Ocean with them- they range from 3-5 feet in length and don't bite humans.  
Hint: make a stop at Girards for Brett and Bre's favorite cookies, but beware of the sea gulls- they are RUTHLESS and will steal your food!
