Question

Is there accommodation at the venue?

Answer

We have reserved the limited on-site accommodation for our closest family and friends to stay for both nights (June 25 and 26). We will be assigning these rooms and cottages personally. For those looking for accommodation recommendations, please check out the "Travel" tab!

What will the weather be like?

Answer

The average temperature in England in June ranges from a low of 58°F to a high of 65°F. It should be lovely, but we always recommend layers and rain options as things can change quickly!

Will the Ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will take place indoors and the cocktail hour will be outdoors (weather permitting). There is also a beautiful outdoor space, gardens, lawn games, and fire pits that will be available for use throughout the wedding.

Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

Highly reccommended as the venue is located approximately 1.5 hours (or longer depending on traffic) from London Heathrow Airport and is in a relatively secluded location. There are also options to travel by train or coach and we are happy to help with recommendations if this is something you're interested in. For those traveling from the USA, it's important to remember that in the UK they drive on the lef-hand side of the road. Please also ensure you make the correct selection for a Manual (vs. Automatic) transimission if you're a bit rusty on driving stick. Throughout the UK, the following speed limits apply for cars, unless there are signs showing otherwise: 30mph (48km/h) in built-up areas 60mph (96km/h) on single carriageways 70mph (112km/h) on dual carriageways and motorways

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

We love your kids, but unfortunately due to space and venue restrictionswe cannot accommodate guests under age 12 at the wedding itself with the exception of kids in the immediate family. However, all kids are welcome to join us for the welcome event and/or morning after breakfast. Please let us know when you RSVP if they will be attending. We recognize that many of you are traveling long distances and may still want/need to bring the entire family along. We will have nanny services available during the wedding if this is something you're interested in. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns!

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

We have a strict guest list due to space. Our wedding is RSVP only, and we will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. If you have questions or concerns, feel free to reach out.

Will there be a welcome party?

Answer

Yes! All of our guests are invited to join us for a welcome event the night before the wedding on June25th at the venue. More details to come.

How do I get to the wedding venue?

Answer

We will not be providing transportation and we do recommend renting a car. If you are staying somewhere other than the venue itself, we recommend renting a car or taking an Uber or Taxi to the venue for the ceremony/reception. It is also recommended that taxis are pre-booked for. You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "no", so we can plan accordingly.

All wedding events will be taking place at the Ferry House located on the Isle of Sheppey in Kent, England. The Ferry House is relatively secluded, yet just about 60 miles from London. What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Think spring colored dresses or a suit and tie or a sports coat!

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 1pm and guests are encouraged to arrive as early as 12pm.

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to honor us with a gift, you can have it delivered to our home at XXXXX. A wedding card box will be at our reception.

Will you be having a separate celebration in the USA for those who can't make it to England?

Answer

Possibly! We apprecaite that traveling to England is quite a distance for some of you and understand that it may be too far for some. We will try our best to celebrate with those who are unable to attend at a later date.
