We met while both working at the Colorado State University Youth Sport Camps during the summer of 2013. Every Thursday, the camp staff would go out for drinks and food at Fuzzy's Taco Shop near CSU's campus. The last Thursday of the month was Tyler's 22nd birthday, so the whole camp staff went out to celebrate. Bre really noticed Tyler that night while enjoying drinks and karaoke. Bre got Tyler's number and they quickly started hanging out after that.

After meeting and spending a lot of time together, Bre and Tyler start officially dating while Bre was on vacation in California with her family.

Bre and Tyler broke up for 10 months (September 2015-July 2016) to figure out what they each wanted and do some soul searching.

In July of 2015, Bre went to spectate at the CrossFit Games in California with her best friend, Marie. During their time in California, Bre gets a text from Tyler that says "I know we haven't talked in a long time, but I hope you're having a great time at the CrossFit Games. Tell your California family I said hello." After that, Bre and Tyler start texting and talking again after 10 months. When Bre gets back to Colorado, she meets up with Tyler to talk. A few days later, they make it official, again, and start dating (Chapter 2). Tyler gave Bre a bracelet with an arrow on it that she later found out he bought BEFORE they started officially dating again. It was meant to be.

Bre and Tyler went on vacation in Orange County, California. On their last night in California, they went to walk the California Coastal Trail in Laguna Beach, California before driving to Huntington Beach to get sushi for dinner. Bre and Tyler were walking up the trail watching the sunset. At an overlook of Laguna Beach, Tyler asked a bystander to take a picture of them. He then got down on one knee and asked Bre to marry him. She, of course, said yes!
