How He Asked

We had a trip to Colorado planned for the guy’s senior trip. They made sure to tell me every few minutes the whole time we were there as well that “it was not about me” (haha). So, on Thursday that week we decided not to snowboard that day. Instead we went to breakfast and did some shopping. While out shopping, Ty tells me he has a surprise for me, and an Uber is coming to pick us up from downtown in a few minutes! The surprise was the most beautiful sleigh ride through the snowy mountains with blankets and hot chocolate. When we got done with the ride, the receptionist at the place actually asked if he had proposed, and I laughed and said no like that was the craziest thing. Then, we went back to our cabin, and Ty said that everyone was going to town for something. He didn’t want to go, so he said we were gonna meet them at a trail and hike up and watch the sunset. He gave me no time to change into better suited hiking shoes, so the whole way up this literal hiking trail I’m so mad because I’m stepping in snow up to my knees getting soaking wet. Then all of a sudden Ty stops, and he looks at me, and I knew what was about to happen. To be honest I’m pretty sure I blacked out for the next 10 minutes, because I can’t remember anything he said to be. (Lol) But I know it was the sweetest words that spoke right to my heart. My easiest and most favorite yes. Turns out he had hired a photographer that videoed and took pictures of the whole thing. I truly could not have dreamed up anything more perfect. After we got back to the cabin, we arrived to the sweetest setup with cupcakes and candy! Then we headed to the yummiest steak dinner to celebrate more! And just when I thought the surprises were over, when we get home on Saturday, Ty had planned for our family to throw us the sweetest engagement party that included all my favorite things. I’ve truly never felt as loved as I did during those few days. (See pictures on the “photos” tab!)

how WE asked

how we asked our bridesmaids and groomsmen

The bridesmaids were given their “Christmas presents” around Christmas time. It was an ornament with their name on it that said, “will you be my bridesmaid?” (See pictures on the “photos” tab!) The groomsmen were mailed theirs! They received a mask (because Corona) and a card that read, “She only let me pick out one thing for the wedding. Will you be my groomsman? Send a picture of you wearing this mask to accept!” (See pictures of their acceptances on the “photos” tab!)
