Where We're At

Getting to Know Us... Getting to Know All About Us

We throughly enjoy quality time spent together and love to experience new things. Whether it's a new restaurant, new city or new activity, we always like to take on new adventures side-by-side. One adventure we recently embarked on was becoming home owners. We've lived in our first home together for 3.5 years and are in the process of fixing it up to our liking (and bringing the style into this century). We are doing everything ourselves and have been enjoying learning all these fix-it skills. Our 9-year-old pup, Delilah, has found the home to be quite cozy too, although her favorite spot is her backyard. Johnny still loves to play hockey and does so in a local men's roller hockey league. Bre spends her free time hanging from the ceiling training in aerial silks. Unfortunately, the due to the impact of COVID-19, we've decided to postpone our wedding celebration and are moving our original wedding date of July 17, 2020 to July 16, 2021. Although we're extremely disappointed, we are healthy, blessed and happy to be continuing our paths together as husband and wife. We can't wait to celebrate with you all when it's safe to do so!

How We Met

When We Were 16

Johnny was working as a skate guard at Xtreme Wheels, when I applied for my first job as a birthday party hostess at the same roller rink. After college, the longest breakfast of our lives spent reconnecting, Johnny's move to California, Bre's stint in Florida and both of our journeys home, the timing was finally right and we've been together ever since.

The Proposal

The Birthday Bamboozle - 6.29.2019

As a surprise for my birthday, Johnny treated me to a wonderful staycation at the Chicago Athletic Association complete with stunning views of the city, delicious meals and the Cirque du Soleil show, Volta. After the show, we took a moonlit walk along Lake Shore Trail until we were behind the Shedd Aquarium overlooking Lake Michigan, with the city's skyline to our left and Navy Pier off in the distance. Johnny asked, "How's your day?" To which I replied, "It's perfect. One of the best ever." When I politely returned the question Johnny said, "It's good, but it could be better. Bre, will you marry me?" I think I said yes, but I was so excited and was full blown ugly crying. We ended the evening strolling the city streets and picking up food at none other than Taco Bell. The entire rest of the weekend was wonderful as we spent it celebrating!
