What is going on with COVID? Is the wedding affected?

Answer

As everyone knows, things have been continuously changing, so we are trying to be as flexible and optimistic while being as safe as possible. ***Importantly, we will require that each guest bring ONE of the following: - A vaccine card with ONE vaccine if J&J or TWO vaccines if Moderna or Pfizer, completed more than 14 days prior for it to be considered effective - A negative COVID PCR test within the last 3 days - A negative rapid COVID antigen test from the day of the event There will be a security guard checking for proof of the vaccine or a negative test. Masks and sanitizer will be provided.

What do I wear?

Answer

Rehearsal dinner- jeans/slacks and polos or nice shirts for guys, dresses for girls, anything from sundress to cocktail dress is appropriate! It’s a nice italian restaurant, not strict on attire. Wedding- we recommend suits and ties for men, formal beach dresses for women. Just look your best! :) Would also suggest bringing a jacket or coat; just check the weather closer to the day. The ceremony will be outside, and the reception will be inside. There will be access to outdoors throughout the event, and there will be heaters, but we want to make sure everyone is comfortable. Heads up for the ladies- it may be rough walking in pointy or skinny heals on the deck, because there are some cracks in the wood. To be safe, we recommend wearing block heels or wedges. But if you feel like wearing stilettos, no one is going to stop you! Consider bringing a change of shoes :)

How do I get to the venue? Is parking available?

Answer

If you're staying at the hotel, transportation is provided. A shuttle and 2 taxi vans will be leaving the hotel at 3:30p to go to the venue. There is a 1:30p shuttle that is specifically for bridal party ONLY, as we are scheduled to take pictures with the bridal party at the venue at 2pm. A 2:15pm shuttle will then take family ONLY. Towards the end of the night, a shuttle will also being going back and the forth providing transportation back to the hotel, running from 10p-12a. There will be 2 taxi vans leaving the venue at 11:10p to take everyone else back to the hotel. (The reception ends at 10p, followed by the bon fire on the beach which goes until 11p.) If you're taking the LIRR, the Crescent Beach Club is about an 8 minute uber ride from the LIRR (Bayville). You may be better off taking the railroad to Syosset, as the train ride will be much shorter. If you’re driving, valet parking at the Beach Club is free!

Since we have lived together for awhile, we are simply doing a cash fund.

Who is invited to the rehearsal dinner?

Answer

The rehearsal dinner is limited to the bridal party (plus their significant others) and close family.
