Please RSVP through the RSVP tab by February 15th, 2025.
Please let Kaitlin know ASAP that you missed the deadline and will be attending. If there is no communication, you will be marked "not attending". The reason for this is that we must provide an accurate guest count to all of our vendors in a timely manner.
We'd love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day, but also stay comfortable. That being said, please use this as a day to dress up in your best semi-formal attire. We kindly ask you to avoid any colors traditionally reserved for the bride- whites, ivories, and creams. Please keep the weather in mind when picking out attire, we will be constantly watching the weather on the days closer to our big day!
We want all of our family and friends in attendance. There is a specific number of reservations and seats we have saved for you and your family. When you type your name into our RSVP form, invited children will be listed as well. Please keep in mind we will not have anyone able to watch children, so if they come they are your responsibility.
Due to limited capacity, we are only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out!
Our ceremony will start promptly at 4:30 p.m. so please expect to arrive at or before 4 p.m. to park and find a seat! I recommend giving yourself some extra time to arrive at the venue, as it is in a hidden part of Columbia!
There is parking on-site. Please follow the signs and other parked vehicles. DO NOT park by the barn, as this is reserved for the immediate families of the bride and groom.
The ceremony will be outside looking out by the beautiful property pond. Following that, our reception will be in the barn. Please dress accordingly, and bring your dancing shoes!
We are having an "unplugged" ceremony. This means we are asking that all phones and cameras are put away and turned to silent/off during the ceremony. We have hired a photographer to capture some of the most important moments of our lives and we'd hate to have someone's phone or camera blocking that moment for our photographer to capture. After the ceremony and exit, please feel free to take as many photos and videos as you'd like!
Yes! We will have beer and seltzers. No hard liquor will be permitted. Please keep in mind that our venue is a 30-minute drive from most hotels, so plan to drink and drive responsibly. We recommend checking into your hotel prior and using Uber or Lyft to get to the venue if you plan on partying!
I highly recommend looking at our "Travel" tab as we have booked rooms at hotels nearby for our guest's comfort! When booking, please remember to state that you are with the "McIlwain wedding" to receive the discounted booking rate.
