We met at church. In a series of unlikely events, he came to a young adults and I was immediately intrigued. I knew of him, but certainly didn't know him. We were around each other a few times after that, between playing a game of sardines and a couple of ultimate frisbee games; but ultimately no moves were being made. However, in the meantime one of my close friends started developing a close friendship with him and they really hit it off. He ended up being the bridge between us. It started with a text about stinkbugs and next thing we knew a week later we were having our first date; hanging a tree stand and eating BLT's at Carl's Place. Things took off fast and furious. I knew I wouldn't have an issue loving him for the rest of my life by night 2; and he was saying he wanted to protect me the rest of his life by night 1. Our story is the perfect example of why God's timing is ultimate. God hid us from each other until the time was right; and then everything fell right into place. We both had fears going into this relationship but when all was said and done, the easiest thing I've ever done is fall in love with Brayden Michael Merrick.
