Christy estaba en la escuela de optometría en Oregón cuando Brayan le escribió por primera vez por Instagram en abril de 2021. Hablaron como amigos durante algunos años sin llegar a conocerse en persona. Cuando Christy regresó a Idaho después de terminar sus estudios, finalmente decidieron conocerse en persona. Su primera cita fue en febrero de 2024, cuando se encontraron en Twin Beans Coffee en Twin Falls. Ambos siempre sintieron una conexión muy fuerte, pero Dios tomó Su tiempo para preparar sus corazones para esta relación. Salieron en algunas citas antes de hacer oficial su noviazgo el 3 de julio de 2024, en la festividad de Santo Tomás Apóstol, quien ha sido un gran intercesor para ellos en momentos de duda. Brayan le propuso matrimonio a Christy el 18 de octubre de 2025 dentro de la capilla Santa Catalina. ¡La propuesta fue exactamente como ella la había imaginado y aún más! Además, coincidió con la festividad de San Lucas, quien ha sido el santo patrono de su compromiso. ¡Ambos están muy emocionados por todo lo que Dios tiene preparado para su futuro juntos! Estamos muy agradecidos con toda nuestra familia y amigos que han estado con nosotros, y nos llena de alegría que puedan acompañarnos en este día tan especial. —Christy y Brayan

Christy was in optometry school in Oregon when Brayan first reached out to her on instagram April of 2021. (Yes, he slid into her DMs.) They talked as friends for a few years without actually meeting each other in person. When Christy moved back to Idaho after school, they finally decided to meet in person. Their first date was in February of 2024 where they met at Twin Beans Coffee in Twin Falls. The two always felt a strong connection but God took His time preparing their hearts for this relationship. They went on a few dates before making their courtship official on July 3, 2024 on St. Thomas the Apostles' feast day, who has been their great intercessor in times of doubt. Brayan proposed to Christy on October 18, 2025 inside of Christy's hometown chapel, St. Catherine's. The proposal was exactly what she imagined and more! This landed on St. Luke's feast day, who has been their patron saint of their engagement. The two are so excited for what God has in store for their future together!
