Juniper's Gin Bar, on a cold Friday night in February, a jazz band playing. Braxton is bartending, a rare occurrence, as he was usually in the kitchen. Chelsea comes in on a bad date, and she and her date sit at Braxton's side of the bar. Braxton's first thought? "Well, she's obviously way out of his league." To hear Chelsea tell it, she'll say that she was done at the first glance. Flirting started immediately (it was professional, of course), including telling Chelsea that she should come back and visit him during his next shift. Chelsea came back that Sunday morning for brunch. Braxton offered a proposition: "How about I be your Date Bartender; bring all of your dates to me, and I'll judge them for you." The joke was on Braxton, though, as the next person she dated was him. And that was it. A beautiful friendship that sprouted into all of *this*, and continues to blossom more and more every day. Chelsea took Braxton out to an early birthday dinner on July 18 at Noche in Covington, where Braxton presented Chelsea with her Great Aunt Elsie’s vintage ring. They’ve had many chapters of love, loss, and adventure. Lost pets. Concerts. Weekend trips. Quiet moments. Watched shows. Laughter. Meals made. Drinks poured. New pets. Finding out that they've basically been orbiting each other in all of their favorite places for the past 10 or so years. There's too many chapters to go into here, and the story is far from over. Chelsea and Braxton are getting married privately on 9/12/25. Then they'll adventure off to Japan for their honeymoon. When they come back? Well, that's where you come in. October 25th they will be hosting a party at the place where it all started. A party, not just to celebrate their relationship, but also to celebrate a community of people that have supported them. This party will be as much for you as is it is for them. Well. Not *as much*, but you know what we mean. They are lovingly looking forward to sharing this next chapter with you.
Chelsea and her very lucky husband-to-be are eloping on September 12, 2025 at a secret location, then off to a honeymoon in Japan. There will be a small party to celebrate on Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 12pm to 3pm. Please RSVP to the party by October 5, 2025. Food will be provided by Kung Food Amerasia, with gluten free and vegetarian options available. Cocktails will be provided by the wonderful bar manager of Juniper's, James Beddie. Desert will also be served, also with gluten free options. While the party is from 12pm to 3pm, there is no strict time. Come and go as you please; the vibes are casual but fancy. There will be a communal sake toast at 2pm, and at some point the bride and groom will request the community joins them for a first dance.
