Things To Do

We're so excited to share a few of our favorite places in the area with you! Visit https://www.visitphoenix.com/ for more details & recommendations for your stay.

Sedona

331 Forest Road, Sedona, AZ 86336
, (928)-282-7722

If you are planning to arrive early, this makes a great day trip for hiking & exploring. It's about a 2-hour drive from Phoenix and affords gorgeous views of the famous red rock. We recommend Bell Rock for a straight-forward/lighter hike (0.8 miles), or trekking to Devil's Bridge for a more moderate climb with stunning views (4 miles)!

Desert Botanical Garden

1201 North Galvin Parkway, Phoenix, AZ 85008

One of our favorite places to enjoy the beauty of the desert! Come see a wide variety of species of cacti, trees, and flowers. You may also want to consider planning to eat lunch or dinner at the garden's restaurant - Gertrude's.

Phoenix Zoo

455 North Galvin Parkway, Phoenix, AZ 85008
, (602)-286-3800

A great place to spend a morning or afternoon enjoying the outdoors & desert wildlife!

Papago Park

625 North Galvin Parkway, Phoenix, AZ 85008

Conveniently located in Phoenix, this is an easy, accessible hike through the buttes! Also nearby to two of our other favorite attractions - the Phoenix Zoo and the Desert Botanical Garden.

Old Town Scottsdale

Scottsdale, AZ 85251

Enjoy a day of trendy boutiques, southwestern art galleries, and upscale restaurants in this district.

Sugar Bowl

4005 North Scottsdale Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85251

A 1950s style ice-cream parlor in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale. Stop by for your favorite ice-cream or try their famous banana split!

Hiking

There are so many great places to hike near the Phoenix area. We recommend reviewing the hiking areas on TripAdvisor or AllTrails prior to trekking for important information regarding routes & difficulty. Some of Alyssa's favorites include: (1) South Mountain (2) Papago Park (3) Wave Cave (4) Lost Dutchman State Park (5) Usery Mountain Regional Park (6) Camelback Mountain

Golfing

Winter is prime golf season in Arizona! Reach out for course recommendations, and be sure to book tee times in advance, as this is a popular outing for locals & snowbirds alike in January.

In-n-Out Burger

One of our favorites every time we are in town. A must-stop for quick eats at least once while you're in Arizona! There are many locations throughout the valley to choose from.
