Montauk is full of small, boutique-style hotels (think cute beach motels with a lot of charm but limited rooms), so we recommend booking early.
We didn’t reserve a hotel block, but you really can’t go wrong. Most places have a similar laid-back, beachy vibe. Anywhere in Montauk will be great! If things fill up, nearby towns like Amagansett or East Hampton are good options too.
