How he proposed

Of course I said yes!

We started the evening at the Christmas party that I host for my staff each year. It was raining really heavy outside. He was running a little late because of work, but he came, so I was happy. I can remember him being soaking wet when he came in. He had on a vest, and since it was wet, I told him that he should take it off, he started to, and then quickly stopped taking it off and said it was ok. I thought that was weird, but didn't think too much about it. At the end of the night, he pulled my car up for me, and told me that he was going to follow me home to make sure that I got there safely, and then he would go to an event that he had that night. I can remember thinking "Wow he's being so sweet to me! I love it!" When we made it home, I came in with the gifts that my teachers and students had purchased me, and began looking at them. I thought that he was just going to keep going once I made it home, but he pulled into the garage and stood in the doorway while I opened my gifts. He was super invested in my little gifts, and that's not like him, lol. After a little while, he says "Well since everyone else gave you your Christmas present today, I guess I will too." I looked over at him, and he started singing to me, I started laughing and when I looked back up, he was on his knee! Once I realized what was going on, he pulled my ring out of his vest pocket and asked me to marry him!!!!!!! That's why he wouldn't take that vest off at the Christmas party! He had my ring in his pocket the whole time!!!!!!

For all the days along the way
