Both, hopefully! As long as the weather cooperates, our ceremony will be in the courtyard, then our reception will follow in Blackmer Lodge. If it's windy, raining, and/or below 60 degrees our ceremony will also be in Blackmer Lodge in front of the stone fireplace.
Our ceremony begins at 4pm. Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to give yourself time to use the facilities, find your seat, and settle in. If you find yourself with an ETA after the ceremony begins, PLEASE do not interrupt the ceremony. Instead, wait until the ceremony concludes (we are hoping to make it quick anyway) and join us at the reception.
This is a firefighter/cop wedding. Of course there is an open bar!
Our photographer, Marcie, is phenomenal. She took the Bride's senior photos, the Maid of Honor's senior photos, and the Bride and Groom's Christmas card photos and engagement photos. She's got the ceremony photos handled. We ask that you turn off or silence your phones for the duration of the ceremony. We don't wanna hear anyone's Active 911 going off!
Our dress code is cocktail attire. Don't wear a white dress; the position has already been filled.
The layout of the venue is super easy to navigate and everything is in close proximity. There is plenty of parking available right next to the Hotel, Courtyard (ceremony site), and Blackmer Lodge (reception site). Please see arial photo for visual direction.
We have put a block on Mackenzie Lodge (The Hotel on site at Caberfae Peaks). However, there are only 39 rooms so space is very limited. If you would like to reserve a room, please do so ASAP. Go to the Travel tab of our website and click the link provided under Caberfae Peaks Golf and Ski Resort. If those rooms are all reserved, they have 2 queen beds, so you can either ask someone who has a room reserved to bunk with them OR we have added some other options for Hotels in Cadillac to the Travel tab.
Unfortunately, we have blown the budget on food and booze, so we are too broke to offer shuttle services. However, our venue coordinators highly recommend Cadillac Taxi Service owned by former Caberfae Bride and Groom, Deb and Ron. From everything we have heard, they are very nice and reliable. If you plan on drinking and are not staying on site, please call Deb and Ron at 231-884-0444 to schedule a DD. We have been told Ubers and Lyfts are not available in Cadillac.
