We met as coworkers, bonded by early mornings and shared shifts. What started as casual conversation quickly turned into something more, shaped by constant laughter, sarcasm, and ongoing pranks that made even the longest days more enjoyable. As our friendship grew, group plans outside of work had a way of narrowing down until it was just the two of us. One night, a post-work outing turned into an unplanned trip to Denny’s that lasted well past midnight. By the end of it, it was clear our connection had shifted beyond friendship. Not long after, we started dating. From there, things unfolded naturally. We spent more and more time together, mixing outdoor adventures with quieter moments at home, and quickly realized how easily our lives fit side by side. A year into dating, Hannah moved to Colorado to begin her doctorate program, and our relationship became long distance. While the distance wasn’t easy, it reinforced what we had already built and kept us looking ahead. Eventually, we closed the distance and reunited in Colorado, picking up right where we left off. Nearly seven years later, what first brought us together still sits at the center of our relationship. What began with shared jokes and pranks has grown into a life built together, and we’re so excited to be surrounded by the people we love as we step into this next chapter.
