Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

While we’re happy for kids to attend, the wedding will be a nighttime event that may not be fun for smaller children. Unfortunately, there is no on-site space for a caregiver and kids to hang out separately from the ceremony and reception.

Question

Where is the gift registry?

Answer

Your willingness to travel internationally (and let's be real - the cost associated to do so) to celebrate our special day with us is more of a gift than we could ever ask for so we chose not to have a gift registry. With that being said, while we aren’t actively seeking or expecting any gifts, we absolutely would welcome and be eternally grateful for any gift you may want to sow into our new marriage!

Question

Passport Info

Answer

Please visit the official US State Department Passport website (https://tinyl.io/Ar1C) for instructions on how to apply for the first time or renew your passport. o The current processing time for new passport applications is 6-8 weeks as per the State Department website. This is subject to change so if you are applying for the first time, sooner is better than later. (Link to the official US State Department page for first time US passport applicants: https://tinyl.io/Ar2a o If you already have a passport but it will expire within 6 months of your travel date to Jamaica you will need to renew it. Question

Will my cell phone work in Jamaica?

Answer

Yes and no. If you already have international calling + data included in your wireless plan or if you added an international travel plan add-on with your wireless carrier ahead of time then you will be all set with using your cell phone as you normally would. If you do not have one of the options listed above, you will only be able to use your phone (for both calls and internet) when connected to public Wi-Fi networks. When traveling internationally, having the right cell phone setup can make your trip more convenient and reduce potential costs. Here are some recommendations: 1. Consider Your Plan Options: Look into international plans from your carrier. The 3 major carriers offer the following international add-on options: o AT&T – $12/day (cellular + data) Link to AT&T International Day Pass site- https://tinyl.io/AruC o Verizon – $10/day (cellular + data) Link to Verizon TravelPass options site- https://tinyl.io/Aru8 o T-Mobile – $5/day (cellular + data) Note: free int’l data included w/ most plans. Link to T-Mobile International Pass options: https://tinyl.io/Aru4 2. Use Messaging/Wi-Fi Calling Apps: WhatsApp, iMessage/Facetime (for iPhone users only) Google Meet (for Android users) can save money by using Wi-Fi for calls and messages.

Question

Can I use American currency and credit/debit cards?

Answer

Yes! You can use American currency as well as debit and credit cards in Montego Bay. However, cash is the safer bet as it is accepted everywhere whereas cards may not be. In addition, I would highly recommend taking out cash before you arrive in Jamaica as ATMs aren’t readily available. If you forget to get cash before your arrival to Jamaica, you can find an ATM at the Sangster International Airport.
