We met participating in track and field at Nebraska Wesleyan University. We were both a part of the throws squad. Our first date happened to be the night after Seth broke his leg slipping on ice! Most of our first dates consisted of watching movies in Seth's dorm room because he couldn't do much. We spent our first summer together taking turns driving to Omaha and Madison to spend time together. Two hours really isn't that far ;)

We were down in San Antonio, TX where we spent most of our time touring various apartment complexes. When Seth was down there previously, he visited the Japanese Tea Gardens with his parents and, after seeing pictures of it, Madison wanted to visit too. We ended up going there on our second to last night there. We walked around the entire garden and then Seth asked Madison to take another picture with him before we left. Little did Madison know that was going to be quite the picture!! He dropped down on one knee and asked her to marry him!! Of course she said yes immediately! She was totally surprised. He did a fantastic job getting her off of his trail!
