God's plan had a funny way of bringing us together. October 25, 2018, was a big day in Georgia Southern history. The Georgia Southern football team was playing their arch rival Appalachian State. Mandy was invited to a tailgate with her friend Shelby Todd. Mandy wasn't super thrilled to go but her love of Georgia Southern football made her go. When Mandy and Shelby arrived at the game, there were no seats together. Then this guy, Brantley, offered his seat to Mandy under the condition that she gave him play by play details of the game. Brantley and Mandy talked most of the first half and at half-time went to the concession stand together. Brantley kindly helped Mandy carry her drinks back to their seats. However, Mandy soon realized Brantley was no where to be found. Mandy returned to her seat and soon the third quarter passed, with no sign of Brantley. Suddenly, Brantley appeared with two empty cups, stating he got lost. As the game went on, Brantley soon asked Mandy on a date to which she responded, "no". Needless to say Georgia Southern won and Brantley and Mandy didn't talk again. About a month later, Shelby invited Mandy and her roommate to dinner at our favorite restaurant, Dingus Magee's. When they arrived, they met up with some of Shelby's guy friends, one of which was Brantley. Mandy and Brantley talked the entire night but didn't exchange any contact information. Brantley got Mandy's phone number from Shelby and messaged her the following Wednesday. Mandy finally agreed to a date that night and from then on they were inseparable.
