Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We are going to cherish these memories forever, so we kindly ask that you come in your fancy clothes! Men: Khakis, slacks, button downs, polos and dress shoes. Women: dresses, slacks, skirts, rompers and comfortable dress shoes. Our wedding colors are: Burgundy, Dusty Rose, Mustard Yellow and Burnt Orange. If you are so inclined, we invite you to coordinate! The pictures will be so cute! While we want you all to be comfortable, please refrain from wearing denim or jeans, baseball caps, the color white, flannel shirts, and hoodies.

Answer

Both will be indoors.

Where will the ceremony and reception take place?

Answer

Luckily, they’re in the same place! Sycamore Tree Venue 16327 Co Rd 344, Savannah, MO 64485 Turn right at Old McDonald’s Farm, and follow that road, for about 5 minutes. There will be signs!

How do I RSVP?

Answer

We’re excited to say that you’re already in the right place! We didn’t want to mess with sending them out, and getting them back, so we’re sticking to online RSVP’s to make it easier for all! However, if for some reason you cannot get it to work, you can call or text Heather at 816-390-3546

Open bar or cash bar?

Answer

Open bar! But please bring cash to tip the bartender! Although we want everyone to have an amazing time, we ask that you please drink responsibly, and do not drink and drive.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony/post on social media?

Answer

This will be an unplugged ceremony. We understand that you may want to take photos during the ceremony, but we have hired an amazing wedding photographer, to take care of that! Photos during the reception are highly encouraged! And we ask that no one post photos on social media, until we get the chance to first.

Are children invited?

Answer

As much as we love your kids, we want the adults to have as much fun as possible, and sometimes that can be hard, with little ones around. Due to the nature of the event, and the heavy presence of alcohol, we are asking that you find alternative care for your children. Invited children will be limited to our nieces, nephews and wedding party. But all children (including our daughter) will be gone by a certain time! We look forward to spending a fun night with you, but understand if those plans cannot be made. But we are hoping that we are giving enough time.

What time should I be there?

Answer

Please arrive by 4:30, as the wedding will begin at 5:00 pm. We want to make sure everyone gets parked and settled in beforehand.

Can I take photos during the reception, and post them online?

Answer

Yes, after the ceremony. All that we ask is that you wait to post, until we have posted photos first. We just ask that you do not get in the way of the professional photographers. And when you do post them online, we would love if you tagged each picture with our hashtag #happykernofevents

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We would love to keep our guest list to people that mean the most to us. If we know you’re married/in a relationship, we have included them as your plus one. Our wedding is RSVP only. We hope that you understand.

Is there an RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP via our website by September 17th, 2022. If you have RSVP’d “yes”, but something came up after the deadline, simply change your response and let one of the contacts provided on our site know as soon as possible. You will be missed! If you have not responded by the date above, we will assume you will not be able to attend and will not reserve a seat for you at the reception.

Can I leave my car at the venue overnight?

Answer

We ask that you make arrangements beforehand, so no cars will be left behind.

What’s the parking sitch?

Answer

There is a ton parking to the left of the venue! Parking is free, but it wouldn’t hurt to carpool!

Are you guys registered anywhere?

Answer

Let’s be honest, we’re in our 30’s and we have both been living on our own for many years now. We pretty much have everything we need. However, if you feel like gifting us, we would love any amount towards our honeymoon fund, to help us create new memories that we will never forget!
