Wynwood
Wynwood is a great neighborhood to visit during the daytime. It has a lot of fun bars & breweries and beautiful art murals to enjoy while walking around.
Miami Beach
Miami Beach has a lot of great restaurants or spots to relax and soak up the sun. Traveling to north beach could take a while with traffic, but south beach is only 15 minutes away. If you would like to avoid the touristy part of the beach, head south all the way to the tip of the island.
Brickell City Centre
Brickell City Centre is a beautiful indoor/outdoor mall, which you can walk to in about 10 minutes and uber to in about 5. It contains many stores for all price ranges, a movie theater, and great restaurants and bars.
Vizcaya Museum & Gardens
Vizcaya is a beautiful mansion that has turned into a museum and gardens. This is a great place to spend a few hours during the day!
Star Island
Star Island is located between downtown and Miami Beach and contains many lavish mansions, which are often owned by celebrities. While you cannot drive onto star island without permission, there are boat tours that leave out of downtown and cruise around the island while identifying celebrity homes.
Key Biscayne Beach
The beaches on Key Biscayne are about 15 minutes away from downtown and are isolated, so you will avoid tourism by going here. They are usually pretty quiet and always beautiful!
Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden
Fairchild is a beautiful 83-acre garden located in Coral Gables, about 15-20 minutes from downtown.
